Why we exist. Even though we shouldn’t have to.

Stigma, judgement, invisibility. Persons with disabilities have faced these for centuries. And yet, in this most modern of ages, the exclusion of persons with disabilities from mainstream life still comes as news to many. Fortunately, this story can be rewritten. Especially if more allies like you join us in our journey to bring lasting change in the form of disability inclusion. In the form of a global community that is at once emboldened, energetic, and empathetic.
And what better way to encourage this sense of community than sport! After all, sport has the power to bring people together – no matter their age, race, religion, or physical ability. Sport encourages partnerships. It creates opportunities for bonds between persons with and without disabilities. Sport is not a one-and-done event. It is an experience that stays with you forever.

On our journey towards an inclusive world, we have organised thousands of inclusive sporting experiences. These experiences have been as varied as the people participating in them. From climbing mountains to running marathons. From rappelling to scuba diving. From tandem cycling to paragliding. We’ve brought thousands of persons with disabilities and able bodied persons together on all of these platforms to change attitudes and break barriers. We’ve also helped corporate organisations generate thousands of volunteer hours with employees. These hours have come through inclusive CSR activities that have helped foster a stronger inclusive culture within these employees and organisations. And in 2024 alone, Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation and our allies have also come together to generate funds to help underprivileged children across the country walk for the first time in their lives. These efforts have brought us accolades and awards from many distinguished organisations. But the greatest reward of them all continues to be the empowerment of people who have been marginalised for too long.

10 years of Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation

It’s been 10 years since ABBF began its journey towards an inclusive world. And what a decade it’s been! We’ve seen the kind of support and encouragement others only dream of. We’ve met allies on every step of the way. We’ve run across cities, climbed mountains, scuba dived, tandem cycled through snow, and so much more.
