As the lockdown duration increases and even more persons with disability face hardship in accessing rations for daily survival, ABBF has stepped in to help these families from across the state by deliverying foodgrains, oil, kitchen staples and much needed hope. With increased scope, our funds are straining at the seams and we are appealing freshly for donations.
300 families of Visually Impaired and Blind citizens living near Vangani station found it very difficult to obtain rations as the stock was getting pilfered before it reached them. They sustain their livelihood by selling cutlery and knickknacks in local and express trains in Mumbai & neighbouring areas mainly on the Central line. Vangani is one and a half hour away from Mumbai. ABBF helped them with door step delivery of grocery through volunteers on ground.
Similarly, we also catered to families of persons with disability, especially with young children in areas around Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur and Satara. We have managed to cover close to 300 more people in these areas.
We will repeat these deliveries where required accross the state to make sure these folks have rations to last at least a month more. We do not know how long their lively hood is under threat.
Please donate generously using buttons below the video. You will get a 80G receipt for the amounts you give. Thank you!
