We organized a one-day inclusive trek to sensitize Volkswagen employees about disability. All the participants enjoyed the event thoroughly and interacted with each other throughout. The activities that we facilitated during the trek helped create a safe space for participants to share their experience and stories. They found this route to be more challenging and rewarding than the Tikona trek one.
We collected feedback from VW employees and they enjoyed the trek, as Tikona was too easy for some of them, this one presented a challenge. We could have had more volunteers from ABBF side, as Bhargav stayed back at the base with the videographer (who got sick) and there was less support at the top. There were no food options there so we had taken packed lunch to eat at the top. The food almost started to go bad and this was one big complaint from the client. Activities were facilitated well and the sharings were rich. The employees climbed even though it was sunny and had enough energy left over after the trek, which was a positive sign. However, this trek is completely exposed and should be avoided in the hot months. There is a temple/covered area at the top (where we had our lunch), and a chance to water the trees and explore the fort.
