ABBF conducted the Weekend Tandem Cycling Ride on 12 September 2026, with the objective of creating an inclusive and supportive cycling experience for people with and without disabilities.
The 35 km ride from Panchavati Corner to Sant Tukaram Maharaj Bridge and back brought together 10 participants, including persons with visual impairments and sighted cyclists on tandem bicycles, who rode together to demonstrate the power of inclusive sports and raise awareness about accessibility in cycling. Participants were provided with route guidance, ride leader support, and basic first-aid assistance throughout the ride. The ride encouraged teamwork, mutual support, confidence, and shared participation while creating an inclusive cycling experience for everyone.
