ABBF conducted the Weekend Cycling Ride on Saturday, 3 October 2026, with the objective of creating an inclusive and supportive cycling experience that encourages persons with visual impairments and able-bodied persons to ride together.
The ride from Nigdi to Kundamala and back to Nigdi brought together 24 participants, including 10 tandem cycles with 20 participants and 4 solo cyclists. Participants enjoyed the scenic route, the shared experience, and the sense of community throughout the ride. The ride also welcomed first-time participants with visual impairments, giving them an opportunity to experience tandem cycling, build confidence, and enjoy the outdoors in a supportive group environment. Participants were provided with route guidance, ride leader support, and basic first-aid assistance throughout the ride, making the experience safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.
