It was a fulfilling Saturday morning to participate in the SAMATA 5 km run . It is an amazing design where our employees run as an ally with persons with disabilities It’s a CSR initiative with our partner ABBF.

It has been a week since the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, but the experience is still fresh in my mind. Not because of the 10 km run itself. What stayed with me were the people and the conversations.

I ran alongside ABBF with Manek Gupta. Somewhere between the start and the finish, we spoke about inclusion in India — not in abstract terms, but in how society engages with disability beyond events and headlines.

The medal is one thing. But the feeling of being remembered — that's what will stay with me.

As I ran those 5 kilometers, I carried many emotions. Gratitude. Strength. A little heaviness. A lot of pride. I wasn’t just running for fitness — I was running with the support of a partner who chose parenting over participation, and with the love of a daughter who reminded us what truly matters. One parent ran the race. One parent held a crying child. Both showed up in their own way… I completed the 5 km in 65 minutes despite mild knee discomfort and allergic coughing. While timing matters, what truly stands out is the privilege of running alongside persons with disabilities. Their resilience and determination reflect the true meaning of inclusion. Participating alongside my HSBC team, Ability team members, and our leaders made the experience even more special. Each one inspires in different ways. It was about collective spirit, shared energy, and simply showing up for one another. I dedicate this medal to my husband, Argha Sett — the quiet force behind my journey. Because behind every milestone stands a system of support — at home and in teams. Success is rarely individual; it is built on shared strength.
