Run InSync 2026 statistics

the story

A record set.
Then broken.
By the same people.

Edition 1 — The record
5,500 people. One world record.

In its very first edition, Run InSync did something no inclusive run in India had ever done. Over 5,500 people with and without disabilities ran together, at the same event. Crossing the same finish line. It was enough to set a world record. India's largest inclusive run had arrived.

Edition 2 — Breaking their own record
7,000+ people. The record gets bigger.

This year, Run InSync came back. And more than 7,000 people showed up. Almost as if everyone who came last year brought a friend, a colleague, a family member. India's largest inclusive run just got larger. The record belongs to the movement now.

what made this run different

Inclusion isn't a buzzword.
It's in every decision and action.

hear it from them

In their own words.

stories that stayed with us

What runners remember.

Last year, we were a group of 5,500. This year, the numbers grew to 7,800 — almost as if everyone who attended last year brought along a friend, a colleague, a family member. Vasant Salian, Janak Samtani and I were joined by one more friend this year — Aniruddha Date. And that made me wonder: Is this how movements are born? One person at a time? I believe movements are not born out of numbers. They are born out of moments. And this year at Run InSync, I witnessed many such moments. An ally gently encourages his partner — a person with disability — to slowly begin stepping out of home and returning to work. An ally video-calling his mother to proudly introduce his partner who had travelled all the way from Tamil Nadu to Pune. An ally interviewing her partner while running hand in hand. A human chain of visually impaired women running together in perfect rhythm. Wheelchair users racing forward with fierce determination. A little person pushing a wheelchair, helping a fellow participant cross the stretch. Run InSync is not a marathon. It is a space. A space where persons with disabilities and their allies are free to simply be. Where they feel like heroes — not just for a day, but in a way that stays with them. And for the allies, it brings a powerful realisation: how much more can be done. How much difference one action can make. How changing even one life is the beginning of something bigger. And that… is how movements are born.

Run InSync 2.0 -India’s largest inclusive run happened on 14th February 2026 at Pune University. It was organized by Team Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation (ABBF), founded by Divyanshu Ganatra and supported by many top Corporate CSR bodies including Bajaj Finserv for the cause of Inclusivity. I am sure, it was a great eye opener, and inspired all able bodied persons to dedicate efforts for the Cause of Inclusivity for all PwDs.. People with Disabilities 🙏🏻 I hope you will grasp the gist of content and energy, enthusiasm of PwDs I tried best to capture from this massive 6000 participant's event! 😃🙏

Right from the pre-event coordination, everything was handled so smoothly. Saraswati was extremely cordial and approachable, making the entire process seamless for our families. The orientation session we attended was crisp, clear, and very well-structured. Divyanshu patiently and politely answered all our questions, which made us feel reassured and well-prepared. We truly appreciated the arrangements made for pick-up from the station and the comfortable accommodation provided for the night before the event. These thoughtful touches made a big difference for our families. A special mention to the care and prompt support extended to the family whose child had fallen unwell — the compassion and responsiveness shown by the team reflected the heart of your organisation. The event day itself was filled with joy, fun, and wonderful entertainment. Our families had an amazing time, and the warmth, kindness, and efficiency of the volunteers and team members stood out throughout. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and inclusive space. We are deeply grateful for the experience.
